FASHION WITH A PURPOSE: OBAKKI

Have you heard of the fashion label Obakki? I had not either, until I bought the striped jumper at Emly Benham Atlanta.
Striped Playsuit with pockets:$365
Shoes: Stuart Weitzman, Bag: Givenchy,
Necklace: S Carter Designs

Obakki was started in 2005 by Treana Peake. Peake started the  Obakki Foundation and it is a registered charity that focuses on providing clean water, drilling wells, and education in Africa. Proceeds from Obakki Foundation come from the Obakki clothing line.
The water in the picture above is typical drinking water of villagers in South Sudan.
Peake wanted to design a timeless fashion line while benefiting  people in this part of the world.
Obakki has been featured on Gwyneth Paltrow, and Kate Hudson. The label has also been featured in Vogue UK and Elle. The pieces are classic and make the customer part of a real story. It is fashion that makes a difference in the real world.
